About Steadyroom

Built by a daycare operator, not just for one.

For ten years I owned and ran two licensed child care centers in Pasco County / WesleyChapel FL. I hired teachers off Indeed, chased background-check paperwork, calculated ratios on a whiteboard, and paid HVAC contractors who sent whoever was free that morning.

Every software product I tried was built by people who had never opened a center at 6:30 a.m. with a teacher calling in sick. They were good at the parts a parent sees — photos, messages, a daily report — and quiet about the parts a licensing inspector sees.

“Steadyroom is the system I wanted on those mornings.”

What that means in practice

Compliance is calculated live, not later

A room out of ratio shows up on the director's screen and the teacher's phone at the same moment, because both read from the exact same live check-in data.

The database enforces rules, not just the screen

A staff member without a completed background check can't be placed on a ratio-counted roster. That's a constraint in the database, not a warning a busy director can click past.

Billing never rewrites history

Rate cards and ratio rules are effective-dated. An old invoice always resolves against the rule that was in force when it was issued — eliminating disputes over historic statements.

Nobody enters the same day twice

The teacher logs a bottle in two taps; the parent sees it in their app; the director sees the room's real-time ratio status. One entry, three surfaces.

What we don't do

We don't run background checks — your state does, and we record the verified result. We don't employ or vouch for marketplace vendors — we track their paperwork and move the money. We don't let AI send anything to a family without a staff member approving it first. The boring parts of child care software are the ones that get you cited, and we hold those to a higher bar on purpose.

Who's behind it

Founded by former child care center operators and specialized engineers who have managed daycares through licensing inspections, staffing challenges, and full enrollment cycles.

Steadyroom is based in Pasco County / WesleyChapel, FL.
